A £2.5million house near Croydon and a £190,000 home on the outskirts of Huddersfield were among Rightmove’s most viewed homes this Boxing Day.
Browsers also had their heads turned by an ‘exclusive woodland enclave’ in Scotland, and a Devon home with its own duck pond and island.
The property portal saw a record number of home hunters browsing the site on 26 December, as they shook off market uncertainty at the tail end of 2025 and planned property moves for the new year.
While Christmas Day was the quietest day for Rightmove website traffic, there was a 93 per cent jump on 26 December.
This was a bigger bounce in visits to Rightmove than last year, when the increase was 87 per cent.
The property portal has now revealed the ten most viewed homes on Boxing Day with asking prices ranging between £2.5million and £190,000.

Steve Pimblett, Rightmove’s chief data officer, said: ‘As usual, there are some stunning large family homes with luxury features on the list, but there are also some really well-presented smaller properties suited for potential first-time buyers.
‘Homes from England, Scotland and Wales all make the top ten, and there’s also a mix of urban hotspots with commuter links into major cities and homes near lots of green space with privacy.’
These are the 10 most viewed homes, from the cheapest to the most expensive.
This recently renovated end of terrace house is located in the village of Golcar on the outskirts of Huddersfield in West Yorkshire.
While only spanning 718 square feet, it has three bedrooms and an open plan living room stretching across the entirety of the ground floor.
There is also a cellar that can be accessed from the kitchen, which is not included in the floorplan.
The price means it could be ideal for a first-time buyer. It has plenty of desirable features, including a newly-fitted kitchen with thick solid wood worktops, a Belfast sink, and a brick fireplace in the living area.
