ITV in tie-up talks with producer of The Traitors

ITV is reportedly in talks with the Abu Dhabi fund that bid for The Telegraph about merging its studio business with the maker of The Traitors.

A deal would create one of the largest film powerhouses in Europe, worth around £3billion.

Production company All3Media was sold to Redbird IMI for £1.15billion last February, after ITV’s talks to scoop it up fell through.

Redbird IMI was blocked from taking over The Telegraph last year and is trying to sell the outlet to recoup the £500m it paid the Barclay brothers in a debt deal.

In July 2023 ITV boss Carolyn McCall said that purchasing the production firm would be ‘bang on strategy’.
